Tracing

Logging in to Trace

To assist stores with Tracing, a generic user has been setup for each store to login to the tracer computer.

The details of this user has been distributed to x who will be able to set you up with access if required.

Once logged into the computer you will access Optomate via the same way you do on the other computers.

The tracer is specific to the tracer user and will not worked if another user is logged in.

Troubleshooting your Tracer

Check Power

Your tracer has two devices with power sources:

  1. The tracer itself, which you will see on the front panel of the tracer
  2. The Moxa Box which will be located near your tracer

Both devices need to show lights to confirm they have power.

Power Cycle the devices

To power cycle the tracer simply turn the tracer unit’s power switch off for 10 seconds and then turn if back on again.

To power cycle the Moxa Box, unplug the power cord from the box, wait 10 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

Check Network Connectivity

Your tracer is plugged into a small black box called an Moxa box. This box enables the tracer to be on the computer network. It is important to check that the link light is on the tracer. This is the secon light as shown in the photo. Your Moxa box should show two green lights.

If none of the following work then please lodge a ticket via the IT Helpdesk.
